Hi! I'm Jacqui, the creative cookie artist behind Cookies by Qui! 

When I was just in primary school, the week before Christmas the women in my family would get together to bake traditional Italian cookies. Taking a day off school to learn the art of creating the many different varieties from my Grandmother, Aunt and Mother is where my love affair with cookies began.

When my son was born, I needed a creative outlet to feel like ‘me’ again. It was then that I stumbled across a blog called Sweetopia. Marion made the most stunning Royal Iced cookies, and I decided to give it a go. I was instantly hooked. Looking up to other Cookies Artists such as ArtyMcGoo, Sweet Sugarbelle, and SweetAmbs, I knew that I had found my new passion. Lots of learning curves and practicing later, more friends and family kept asking for more cookies! It got to a point where I decided to turn my cookie hobby into the little home based business that you see today. We began renovating my home kitchen into an area where I could let my creativity out, and in February of 2017, Cookies by Qui was 'officially' launched!

I honestly love what I do. I love that my hobby can make others so happy. I'm always trying to learn new techniques, and trialing new ideas. Cookies are my creative outlet that gets to be enjoyed by everyone! 

Using the best quality ingredients is really important to me. Because let's face it, at the end of the day it's “just” a cookie. They may look too stunning to eat, but it's sole purpose in life is to be eaten and enjoyed!
